EL CIRCO DE LOS PAYASOS BIGOTONES

SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS:

En un país de América Latina el cuaderno de un niño cuenta de manera testimonial una serie de acontecimientos terribles que suceden dentro del Circo de los Payasos Bigotones. A modo de cuento infantil de terror se relata cómo en ese circo se realizaban trucos y torturas. Una carpa llena de números cínicos y perversos, donde los Payasos Bigotones se entretenían desapareciendo personas, con domadores y sus animalitos listos para jugar con jóvenes aterradas o realizando piruetas extremas en sus vuelos de la muerte. Se cuenta con un lenguaje crudo y sencillo parte de los hechos acontecidos durante la última dictadura cívico militar Argentina, recordando de manera íntima parte de la historia reciente.

In a Latin American country, a child’s notebook recounts a series of horrifying events that happened at the Circus of the Big Moustache Clowns. Presented as a children's horror story, it narrates the way in which tricks and torture were performed at the circus. A tent filled with cynical and perverse acts where the Big Moustache Clowns amused themselves by making people disappear, accompanied by animal trainers and their creatures ready to terrorize young victims, or by performing death-defying stunts. In raw and simple language, the film recalls some of the events that occurred during Argentina's last military dictatorship, offering an intimate reflection on the country´s recent history.

Córdoba, 1985. Es una cineasta independiente, animadora y tallerista. Se formó en la

Licenciatura de Cine de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba y se (de)formó en el Cineclub La Quimera. Sus trabajos participaron en festivales nacionales e internacionales recibiendo diferentes premios y reconocimientos. Dirige el estudio Bicha Animación.

Actualmente  desarrolla su primer largometraje de no ficción “Notas para prácticas incendiarias”.

 (Córdoba, 1985.) Ana Comes is an independent filmmaker, animator, and workshop leader. She studied Film at the National University of Córdoba and honed her craft at the Cineclub La Quimera. Her works have been shown at national and international festivals, winning several awards and recognitions. She is the director of the studio Bicha Animación and is currently developing her first non-fiction feature film, Notas para prácticas incendiarias.

Artista Multidisciplinario y gestor cultural. (Argentina -México)

Estudió Artes y Teatro en la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Su trabajo participó en muestras individuales y colectivas, en festivales nacionales e internacionales. Trabajó como director de arte en cine, como productor, escenógrafo, también como actor y director teatral.

Dirigió e impulsó proyectos artístico-educativos vinculados con el arte y la política y la salud mental.

Dibuja, produce y coordina feliz el centro cultural La Carpintería en la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina.

Multidisciplinary artist and cultural manager (Argentina-Mexico). He studied Arts and Theatre at the National University of Córdoba. His work has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions at national and international festivals. He has worked as an art director in film, as a producer, set designer, actor, and theatre director. He has led artistic and educational projects related to art, politics, and mental health. He joyfully draws, produces, and coordinates the La Carpintería Cultural Center in Córdoba, Argentina.

Licenciada en Cine y TV (UNC). Se desempeña como Directora de Arte, escenógrafa y ambientadora en cine, publicidad y series de ficción y animación. Como directora y animadora se destacan sus trabajos realizados con la técnica de stop motion con partículas. 

Entre sus proyectos animados se encuentran: “El zeide” (2010,INCAA), “Desarma y sangra” (2015), “Panic Point” (2017), la serie“ Leyendas a contraluz” (2012), “Fauna” (coproducción con Perú), “La hora de las piedras” (2020, INCAA). 

Actualmente dirige el estudio Bicha Animación.

A graduate in Film and TV from UNC, Paz Bloj works as Director of Art, Set Designer, and Environmental Designer in film, advertising, and animated fiction series. As a director and animator, she is known for her work using stop-motion techniques with particles. Among her animated projects are El Zeide (2010, INCAA), Desarma y Sangra (2015), Panic Point (2017), the series Leyendas a Contraluz (2012), Fauna (co-produced with Peru), and La Hora de las Piedras (2020, INCAA). She is currently directing the Bicha Animación studio.
